IBERNA project takes its own life in August 2002 and it comes from Mauro Spadoni’s desire to express a musical genre that could embrace the most extreme metal and some electronical sonorities typically alien to metal. In march 2003 was realized the first demo homonymous of the project and it had the possibility to take part to the Italian musical contest “The Battle of the Metal Bands 2004”. The demo has been even required by many national and international webzines; after some line-up changes, Giacomo Chiaretti and his bass have been inserted in the project and with him has been published the second demo “INOCULATED SNAKE CONTROLLER “ in 2005 where you can find a much more calibrated and mechanical extreme metal in which the outburstes of rage ( near to the Grind ) are twined to heavy, melodic and futuristic sonorities. While in the exordium demo have been treated general arguments such as religion, death, love and war using the Italian language, in “INOCULATED SNAKE CONTROLLER” you can find scientific arguments such as Genetic Mutation, Clonation, Hibernation and Cybernetication of people in the 21st century. All this is seen with a detached eye but always considering the human aspect of that journey that people call “evolution” and that the use of the English language renders more alien and mechanical. IBERNA, in this second demo, carries on in its research of destruction- reconstruction of song form by melting modern and synthetic heavy sounds and filtrate voices and screaming-vocals. This projects wants to be a drop in that ocean of violence, schizophrenia and irrationality in which the humanity drowns since its birth.
